One of the things discussed in the cal/val session is the need for an understanding of how good is good enough. One thing that NASA could do in this space is to provide a feed-back analysis to show how accuracy and precision in the underlying data products affect the scientific assessment tools. An understanding of the value of improving the precision of an assessment could then feed back to understanding the value of improvements to precision and accuracy of the fundamental measurements. submitted by Bruce Wilson at 2008-04-29 16:47:05
The SERVIR webpage http://www.servir.net/index.php?lang=en is a good example of what can be done with NASA data and decision support. submitted by Jeff Luvall at 2008-04-29 15:51:39
